INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The development of a golf and entertainment venue set to open near Lucas Oil Stadium in March of 2022 is underway.

MWA Masterbuilders LLC is partnering with Prince Alexander Architecture LLC and Indy Golf Party LLC to develop the project. According to a press release sent to News 8, the project will bring a FlyingTee venue to the area.

“The national trend away from massive, 18-hole golf courses and leaning toward the entertainment golf venue that can accommodate food and beverage opportunities, family and corporate events appears to also be very complimentary to the convention business and downtown business community,” Prince Alexander Architecture LLC said in a press release sent to News 8.

FlyingTee is a concept similar to Topgolf.

“The city of Indianapolis has been advocating more entertainment venues downtown to supplement convention business along with development of the riverfront to activate the waterway, that has been underdeveloped for decades,” the release said.

The venue will include modern golf technology and multi-story tee boxes.
