Indy paper NUVO shutting down operations

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis paper NUVO is retiring operations “in its present form.”

According to a social media post from the publication, the outlet will continue updating the website until May 25.

NUVO said there was just “not broad enough financial support or interest today, especially with the impact of the pandemic” to continue operating.

The outlet says there are plans with the Indianapolis Public Library to digitize all past print issues of NUVO.

The announcement comes just after the outlet celebrated 30 years in existence.

In 2019, alternative Indianapolis newspaper NUVO ceased putting out a print edition.

Friday’s announcement comes just after the outlet celebrated 30 years in existence.
