Man critically injured in overnight shooting on east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man is in critical condition after being shot on the city’s east side early Thursday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 2700 block of East Michigan Street before 1:30 a.m.
After arriving on the scene, officers located a man in his 50s who had been shot at least once in the parking lot of the Rural In Liquor store.
The man was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
No suspect information has been released in the East Michigan Street shooting.
Prior to that shooting, police also confirmed that a woman had been shot before 2 a.m. Thursday in the 3900 block of Eagle Creek Parkway.
She told police she was shot while walking around the Idlewood apartments. IMPD said she was awake and breathing.
Additionally, just after midnight, a 20-year-old man had been shot inside a home in the 300 block of South Cole Street.
The victim told police a vehicle pulled when and then someone began shooting. The man was awake and breathing, according to police.
