Pet Pals TV: Spay and neuter services not available during pandemic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Spay and neuter services are currently unavailable due to the public health crisis.

The absence of the services has many worried about overpopulation concerns.

Patty Spitler, host of Pet Pals TV, spoke with Cheri Storms, who is the executive director of Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana, about what this delay in services means for animals now.

“The governor issued an order that unless it’s an emergency surgery, we’re not supposed to be doing those,” Storms said. “For the spay/neuter world and the world of animal overpopulation, it’s very difficult for us. No one wants to be closed.”
