Remembering Sen. Richard Lugar
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Longtime Sen. Richard Lugar passed away Sunday at the age of 87.
Not only was he a six-term senator but he also served as mayor of Indianapolis.
During his time in the United States Senate, Lugar became a leading Republican voice on foreign policy matters – twice chairing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Former WISH-TV political reporter Jim Shella and Robert Vane, a former spokesperson for Indiana’s GOP, stopped by Daybreak Monday to reflect on Lugar’s life and legacy.
