Man calls police and requests to be shot

HARMONY, Ind. (WISH) – There is an investigation in Clay County after deputies shot and killed a man who allegedly called 911 requesting officers to shoot him.

The Indiana State Police (ISP) said Gary Page, 60, pointed a gun at deputies and other residents in the area when they arrived at his home.

Per police, they discharged their guns at Page.

Page was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital where he died from gunshot wounds.

An autopsy is planned for for Monday in Terre Haute.
