Man sentenced to 50 years for production of child porn
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Muncie man was sentenced to 50 years for his role in the production and distribution of child pornography.
According to the United State Attorney, Joel D. Hilton, 42, was sentenced on Friday after investigators found child pornography pictures that came back to his home in Muncie.
Police say the photographs were determined to be sisters between seven and eight years of age. The photographs showed them in sexually explicit ways. Hilton would then post the photos on a website to be traded in his networking group.
When investigators were interviewing Hilton they observed a tattoo that was similar to the ones in the photographs.
Hilton was placed under arrest just six hours after authorities learned of his identity.
According to a release, Hilton faces a lifetime of supervised release after serving his sentence, due to multiple prior convictions for sex crimes.
