Mayor Hogsett’s press secretary on administrative leave after kicking woman’s car

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Mayor Joe Hogsett’s press secretary is on administrative leave as of Thursday morning.

Dan Goldblatt was placed on administrative leave after an Indianapolis woman said he kicked her car at an intersection and just walked away.

According to Shavon Wilson’s Facebook page, she said she was driving in downtown Indy Wednesday when Goldblatt crossed in front of her when her traffic light was yellow, and then kicked her car and walked off.

Wilson said this happened at Washington Street and Pennsylvania Street.

Wilson took photos of the damage and said she even ran after Goldblatt who was walking into the City County building.

When she caught up with him, she took a short video. In the video above, you can hear her say she wants people to know who he is, then Goldblatt smiles and gives her a peace sign.

The pictures show white marks on Wilson’s black car that she said came from Goldblatt kicking her car. She said she has no idea why he did it.

24-Hour News 8 reached out to the mayor’s office for comment. Officials confirmed Goldblatt is on administrative leave, but didn’t provide any further comment.

In a comment underneath her video, Wilson said she wants to make it clear that these pictures, the video and her story are not an attack on the Mayor’s office, but specifically seeking justice against this specific individual.
