Missing Indianapolis woman found safe, police say

UPDATE: IMPD around 8:30 p.m. Saturday said 20-year-old Lakia Foster had been found safe and uninjured. 

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is looking for an Indianapolis woman who may be in danger. 

Police say Lakia Foster, 20, told her mother that her child’s father, Leon Payne, had assaulted her Thursday morning. According to police, Foster also told her mother Payne was holding her against her will. 

Authorities say the two could be driving around Indianapolis in a white 2011 Chevy Impala with plate tags K272193.
