Missing teens’ boat found off Bermuda Coast

FLORIDA (WISH) – The search for the two Florida teens who went missing at sea last summer is now over.

The capsized boat that was carrying 14-year-olds Austen Stephanos and Perry Cohen was found about 100 miles off the coast of Bermuda in March.

The Cohen family said a crew aboard a norwegian ship made the discovery. They said the boat capsized, but some personal items were salvaged.

Cohen’s mother released a statement.

“We urge Austin’s family to do the right thing and to allow law enforcement to regain the iPhone until arrangements can be made to retain the top forensic teams available to begin to look for answers we so desperately need,” Pamela Cohen said.

The boast is on its way back to South Florida and should arrive some time in May.

The teens disappeared after sailing off the Jupiter Inlet last July on a fishing trip.CNN contributed to this report.
