COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A 17-year-old died after a three car crash Thursday night in Columbus.

17-year-old Keegan Phillips was driving east on County Road 550 North when he initially stopped at the intersection of Marr Road around 11:50 Thursday night.

Police say after he stopped he pulled into the path of another vehicle driven by 47-year-old Sheila Lee. The collision caused Lee’s car to crash into a third car, driven by 44-year-old Amy Fetter.

Phillips died on scene because of his injuries. He had three passengers in the car. They were all transported to the hospital with serious injuries. One girl’s are life-threatening.

The two other drivers were treated for minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
