Officer pulls over woman for speeding, learns she’s driving stolen car

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A woman pulled over for speeding early Friday morning was found to be driving stolen vehicle and driving while license was suspended.

According to police, Joan Wolfe, 30 of Indianapolis, was pulled over for driving 94 mph in the 70 mph zone on I-69 around 12:46 a.m.

Police stopped Wolfe and shortly learned she had no license, just and I.D. card. They also learned she was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry that had been registered as stolen from Indianapolis in May.

Wolfe was taken to the Delaware County Jail for auto theft and driving while license suspended. She was also ticketed for 94 in a 70 zone.
