Pacers’ Jordan Hill arrested in Atlanta

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Pacers President Larry Bird announced Friday afternoon that player, Jordan Hill, was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hill was arrested for reckless driving in Alpharetta, Georgia just outside of Atlanta.  He was pulled over and arrested after going 107 miles per hour on Tuesday afternoon after several drivers called 911.

The power forward joined the Pacers a little over two weeks ago as a free agent from the Los Angeles Lakers.

This isn’t Hill’s first brush with the law, a little over three years ago, he was charged with felony assault resulting from an fight with his girlfriend. He was accused of choking her during the argument and he later struck a plea deal in that case.

Larry Bird’s full statement:

“We have been informed Jordan was arrested for allegedly reckless driving in Atlanta, Georgia.  It is obvious we don’t condone this.  We will address this with Jordan.  This is a major concern of safety, not just for Jordan, but for others.”
