Plea deal for suspect in 94-year-old veteran beating
HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — The second of two men accused of brutally beating a 94-year-old World War II veteran has reached a plea deal.
Justin Lawson was in Hamilton County court Friday where the deal was accepted.
He will now be sentenced on June 19.
Lawson was facing charges of burglary with a deadly weapon, robbery resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon, intimidation, strangulation, battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and theft.
Lawson, along Joseph Lowe, was accused in the beating of WWII vet Bud Moore.
Lowe reached a plea deal on Wednesday. He will be sentenced on May 27.
