Police find stolen car, missing 6-year-old
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A boy is safe after a car was stolen while he was sleeping inside Friday evening.
Police say a 2002 white Ford Explorer was stolen around 6:30 p.m. near 30th Street and Delaware Street.
Police say the vehicle was stolen when the boy’s mother left it running unattended. She and other children got out and left the sleeping boy behind.
He was dropped off around 8:30 p.m. with the SUV near the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
He used a woman’s phone to call his mom.
