Police search for man wanted for burglary
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police are asking for the public’s help finding a man wanted on a warrant connected to some burglary charges.
Michael Smith, 25, is the subject of this week’s Fugitive Search. Police said he is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes.
According to detectives, Smith pleaded guilty to two burglary charges in 2011. In September 2014, he was ordered to report to the Tippecanoe County Community Corrections – but never did. A petition to revoke probation warrant was issued for his arrest last month.
Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200 or the anonymous We-Tip Hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
