Prayer vigil held for woman hit, killed by vehicles
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A vigil was held Saturday evening for a woman hit and killed by several vehicles earlier this week.
Family members say 24-year-old Shana Elliot was walking home from work when she was hit.
It happened Monday night at 86th Street and Township Line Road.
Police say the driver of one of the vehicles stopped but at least two others drove off.
Family members and friends are hoping and praying that those who fled the scene are caught.
Witnesses described one of the fleeing vehicles as an older brown work van with a ladder on the back.
