Purdue University is launching new effort to reduce food waste

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) – Purdue University is launching a new effort aimed at reducing food waste.

The post-harvest Initiative starts Wednesday at the World Food Prize meeting in Des Moines, Iowa.

The university said it will work on reducing post-harvest loss and improving nutrition.

The university said it will be keeping an eye open for other projects and funding to help with cutting post-harvest loss.
