Rain moving in, with chance for severe weather Monday
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a couple of dry days, rain is set to return Sunday evening and overnight.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Showers will be widespread and will continue through Monday morning with the low dropping to the mid 60s.
TOMORROW: Showers and storms will be present Monday morning, so remember raincoats and umbrellas when heading to the bus stop or work.
It will be a soggy day for most of us with a high only approaching the upper 70s again.
By 5 p.m., showers will be more scattered before a wave of severe weather progresses through the southern region of the state.
With this severe weather threat, the main concern is damaging winds and some areas could experience heavy rainfall.
The low will be 65°.
TUESDAY: Storm chances will continue through Tuesday as the system moves eastward.
Another generally wet day planned, but may not be as widespread or severe as Monday.
The high for Tuesday will be in the mid 70s.
8-DAY FORECAST: Showers and storms will stick around until Wednesday where we could still see a shower or two still in the area.
By Wednesday morning, rainfall totals could approach the 2-inch mark in some areas.
Dry for Thursday with normal temperatures returning with a high of 85°. Warmer weather comes next weekend with upper 80s and lower 90s.
An isolated shower could be seen with these warmer temperatures as well.
