Rihanna lights up White River State Park

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – White River State Park was at capacity Saturday for the Rihanna concert.

“I love Indy it’s the perfect place to have this to be honest, said Erin Lackovic, a Wisconsin fan.

The concert and Final Four tournament comes as the city recovers from the RFRA fallout.

The fallout was felt even amongst the fun.

“Even though we’re in the news for the wrong reason you come down here and see Hoosiers do care,” said Zach Welch of Indianapolis

“They come here, have a good time and see we are good Midwestern people kind-hearted just good people to be around,” Jordan Turk, also of Indianapolis.

The afternoon was free, people enjoying a game of corn hole, a frosty beverage and even an amateur dunk contest.

And that Hoosier Hospitality shown to fans from near and far.

“It’s just the greatest thing there is,” said Terry Hack, a Kentucky fan.

“I think it’s great this is the perfect place to have it. Everything is so close”, Jackie Meirsone, a Michigan State fan.

“I love it here I’m used to being cooped up in this tiny city that compact and you’re at this park here great atmosphere perfect weather,” said Jordan Wick, a Duke fan

Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum headline Sunday’s concerts.
