CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — The investigators in the Delphi murders case are sending a powerful message to social media users.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office wants the public to stop posting side-by-side images of people with the suspect sketch.

“You are ruining innocent people’s lives. Before posting a side by side, imagine that is your son, brother, or father,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.

Police are continuing to try to solve the 2017 murders of Abby Williams and Libby German.
