Shots outside Fishers business; no injuries reported
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — Police are investigating after an individual employee by a third party vendor fired gunshots outside a Fishers business Thursday morning.
It happened around 10 a.m. at Newgistics on N by NE Boulevard near Lantern Road and 96th Street.
According to Fishers police, a man fired shots in the parking lot.
He pulled up in the parking lot and fired shots into the air.
Witnesses identified the car when police arrived and the suspect was found a short time later at a nearby ATM.
He was taken into custody, and no one was hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
Newgistics is “a leading provider of e-commerce services for top retailers and brands,” according to its website. The released the following statement:
“This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, there was an incident involving an individual employed by a third-party vendor at our facility in Fishers, Indiana. We understand that this individual was removed from the facility and allegedly fired shots into the air from his vehicle. No one was injured.
Authorities were immediately contacted and we understand the individual has been apprehended.
As this is an ongoing police investigation, Newgistics cannot comment further.”
