Soggy morning; Windy and colder this afternoon
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A very soggy start to the morning with steady rain showers through mid-morning. Rain should wrap up late morning early afternoon with scattered shower chances for the remainder of the day. Winds will begin to pick up.
A Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. this evening through Wednesday morning.
Winds will gust upwards of 40 mph. Winds will shift out of the NW dragging in colder air transitioning over any rain to light snow through the rest of the evening with temperatures dropping through the 20s.
Not expecting much accumulation with locations picking up at most a half an inch.
Wednesday morning will be a cold one but dry with a little bit of sunshine and a much-needed break from the precipitation. Highs will warm to the mid-30s. Valentine’s Day will be the warmest day this week as highs soar to the lower 50s. A few rain showers will develop through the afternoon.
By the end of the week we cool off once again with highs in the upper 30s with a few rays of sunshine! This weekend will hold chances of snow showers especially south come Saturday. A better chance of snow come Sunday and will linger through the morning on Monday. Highs will remain in the mid to lower 30s through the beginning of next week.
