Southbound I-69 closed in Huntington County
HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A crash involving at least two semis and several other vehicles has forced the closure of the southbound lanes of Interstate 69 in Huntington County at the 284 mile marker, according to Indiana State Police.
Traffic is being routed off the interstate at the 286 mile marker.
Police told WANE that at least two semis crashed. Several other vehicles then wrecked.
So far there are no reports of injuries and no indication how long the lanes will be closed.
A driver, Jeremiah Lowe, reportedly pulled one of the semi drivers from his rig.
Falling snow has created slick driving conditions across the region, however it’s not known if that contributed to or caused the crash.
