Special Final Four breakfast honors basketball legends

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Sports leaders were honored at special breakfast event before Saturday’s NCAA Final Four events.

The Athletes in Action’s 19th Annual Legends of the Hardwood Breakfast presented delicious food alongside several noted basketball celebrities. The breakfast, held at the Indiana Convention Center at 8:30 a.m. honored those who work to capture stories of character, faith and achievement.

Honored attendees included, Danny Miles, the 2015 Coach Wooden “Keys to Life” Award recipient, players from the 1955 Crispus Attucks high school team who were celebrating the 60th anniversary of becoming the first all African-American team to clench a state title and Tom Abernathy, Kent Benson, Wayne Radford and Bobby Wilkerson, who were players on the 1976 Indiana University undefeated men’s basketball team.
