Study: Student loans are stumping 62 percent of college students

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new study shows that almost two-thirds of college students have no idea what they are getting into with student loans.

The survey showed that a large majority of college students who take out loans are jumping into the deep end of debt without any advice or guidance.

According to the consumer reports survey, 62 percent of Americans with student loan debt did not attend any financial aid information sessions prior to enrolling in college.

In other business news, Eli Lilly is producing one of the few effective treatments for depression in kids.

Nearly all antidepressants are ineffective and in some cases, unsafe in children and adolescents with moderate to severe depression.

A study found that only Eli Lilly’s Prozac was more effective than a placebo and had benefits that outweighed the harms.
