Sunny and warm before rain makes a return

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Warm and dry for now, but rain starting as early as Thursday evening.

TONIGHT: A nice and comfortable evening tonight with temperatures dropping below 80° by 8 PM. Most of us will remain dry this evening but an isolated downpour or two could continue to pop up through the evening hours.

Partly cloudy conditions overnight with a low of 66°.

TOMORROW: A beautiful start to the day tomorrow with upper 60s for your morning commute to work or school.

A mix of sun and clouds for most of the day tomorrow with a high of 86°.

Northern regions will start to see some rain tomorrow evening as the next cold front begins to push through the state. There is a small marginal severe threat for the northwestern portion with the main concern being damaging winds.

The low will be in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY: A generally dry start to the day with highs topping in the mid 80s.

Better chances for rain start Friday with a chance of showers for majority of the day but the best chance for the area to see rain will be in the late afternoon.

8-DAY FORECAST: The chance for isolated to scattered storms will be the story through Saturday and Sunday into the beginning of next week. Temperatures will begin to drop below normal with highs in the lower 80s starting this weekend.
