Teen arrested in fatal stabbing

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing that occurred on Monday night.

Michael Hackney faces preliminary charges of murder after allegedly stabbing 19-year-old Dishun Ash.

Officers responded to the 9100 block of Harrison Place at 9:35 p.m. and found Ash. Ash was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later died.

Investigators identified Hackney as a suspect after speaking with witnesses.

Hackney was located Tuesday morning and arrested without incident.

He was transported to the Arrestee Processing Center. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will decide on final charges.
