Terminus acquires Boston company
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Atlanta-based marketing technology company Terminus, which has a major presence in Indianapolis, has acquired Zylotech, a B2B customer data platform headquartered in Boston. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Zylotech will be rebranded as Terminus CDP.
Terminus says the acquisition makes it the only account-based marketing platform with a standalone CDP build specifically for the B2B space. Terminus CDP will be led by Matt Belkin, who joined Terminus when it acquired GrowFlare last year.
The company says Terminus CDP allows marketing teams to improve the data accuracy and campaign effectiveness, and reduce wasted sales cycles.
“Bad data in equals bad data out. Period,” Tim Kopp, chief executive officer of Terminus, said in a news release. “We’re entering a marketing revolution – data really is the new oil, and Terminus is sitting on a gold mine. Under Matt’s leadership, Terminus CDP is poised to change the game for our customers. This level of data accuracy is critical for B2B GTM teams looking for a unified view into their customers. I’ve never been more excited about the future of marketing.”
Zylotech founder and Chief Technology Officer Abhi Yadav will join Terminus as head of platform innovation. The company did not state whether any other jobs would be affected by the acquisition.
Terminus entered the Indianapolis market with its 2019 acquisition of Indy-based email signature marketing platform Sigstr. Earlier this year, the company closed on a $90 million Series C round of funding, which Kopp said would lead to the addition of dozens of jobs in Indy.
