Tips lead to drug arrests of two West Terre Haute residents
WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Community tips lead to the drug arrests of two West Terre Haute residents.
On Monday afternoon, Indiana State Police Troopers arrived at a home located in the 300 block of West Taylor Drive in West Terre Haute for alleged drug activity.
Police initially received tips from people in the community regarding possible meth activity at a residence in the area.
When police arrived, they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the home.
After searching, officers also found 15 grams of suspected meth along with two grams of marijuana.
Police arrested 50-year-old George Cheesman and 43-year-old Mary Marshall, both residents of the home.
Cheesman faces preliminary charges of possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.
Marshall faces preliminary charges as well for dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and dealing marijuana.
Both are currently in the Vigo County Jail.
