Unnamed, unclothed man sits on top of Borg-Warner Trophy
SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) – On top of the Indy 500 Borg-Warner Trophy is an unclothed man waving a checkered flag.
Indianapolis 500 officials say the man without clothes is part of a tradition of ancient Greek athletes. To this day the man remains without a name.
It is part of Indy 500 winning tradition from 1936 with no name and no clothes.
