USPS accepting job applications in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The U.S. Postal Service is looking to build its workforce in the Indianapolis area.

In a news release Friday, USPS said the listed openings include those for a city carrier assistant post, paying nearly $15.70 per hour, and rural carrier jobs, which pay at an hourly rate of $16.65.

City carrier assistants work shifts on Saturdays and other days as needed, according to the news release. Rural carriers are assigned to specific routes in non-urban or suburban areas.

The USPS accepts applications through their careers website, and said applicants must have a valid driver’s license, two years of driving experience and a safe driving history.
