Virginia family starts ‘Hug A Cop’ Challenge
PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – 5-year-old Gabe was out playing the popular game, ‘Pokémon Go’, around his home, when a small gesture turned into a big moment.
Gabe’s mother, Tosha, says that he saw two Portsmouth Police Officers and told them they both looked like they needed a hug, and gave them both one.
Gabe and Tosha have now challenged police to post pictures of people and officers embracing one another using the hashtag #HugACop.
