Warming this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a cold stretch this past week, temperatures will start to warm this weekend and well into next week.

Saturday:

Dry air will settle in, kicking cloud cover out and bringing mostly sunny skies to the area. Temperatures will still remain below average, but much improved compared to the past several days. Highs top out in the lower to middle 50s.

Saturday Night:

Clear skies will hang around early, before clouds build in for the overnight hours. Temperatures shouldn’t be quite as cold, and therefore frost shouldn’t be an issue. Lows will dip to the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Sunday:

A weak cold front will drag across the state, sparking spotty light showers across the area on and off through the day.

Despite this, temperatures should be a bit warmer compared to Saturday, with highs hitting the middle to upper 50s.

8-Day Forecast:

The work week will start off dry and mild, with highs returning to the 60s for the first time in a while. Rain chances return to the forecast Wednesday night into Thursday. Temperatures will continue to warm into next weekend, as highs make a run up to 70°.
