Wednesday’s business headlines
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Wednesday’s business headlines.
Business in Indiana
In its 2018 list of the top states for doing business, Area Development Magazine has placed Indiana at number nine.
Indiana was singled out for its corporate tax rate, government that is supportive of business and workforce development programs.
Federal Reserve
The Federal Reserve will meet again Wednesday and almost everyone believes a hike is coming.
What’s more, another rate hike is expected in December.
Short-term loans like credit cards and cars will follow first with rate hikes of their own.
Solar energy
Voters overwhelmingly support more solar energy, according to a new survey.
It is an industry poll and was released at the Solar Power International Conference in Anaheim.
The survey takers say solar energy was popular among both Republicans and Democrats.
Travel
Perhaps the travel agent isn’t dead.
AAA says most Americans still like to use one for some trips.
The outlook remains positive for years to come, with younger travelers embracing the expertise of travel agents.
