WISH-TV receives 20 Emmy nominations

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The 50th Lower Great Lakes Emmy Award nominations were released Thursday. WISH-TV received 20 nominations across the various categories.

The awards recognize excellence in local news, sports and weather.

WISH-TV received nominations in the following categories:

  • Overall Excellence – Randy Ingram
  • Community Service – Randy Ingram
  • Daytime Newscast – News 8 at 5: Trey Friedrichs, Scott Davis, Brooke Martin
  • Breaking News – Noblesville School Shooting: Al Carl
  • Spot News – Noblesville School Shooting: Al Carl
  • Team Coverage – Boone County Deputy Killed: Al Carl
  • Health/Science News Series – Resource Center: Stephanie Zepelin, Shawn Pierce
  • Historical/Cultural Program or Special – Hidden History: Flor Ramos-Skidmore
  • Politics/Government Single Story – Pothole Problems: Eric Feldman
  • Sportscast: Charlie Clifford
