Woman arrested for prostitution in Johnson County
JOHNSON COUNTY,Ind. (WISH) – Police in Johnson County arrested a woman for prostitution following an investigation.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, police were monitoring several local websites when they came across an advertisement that seemed to imply sex in exchange for money.
On Feb. 19, an undercover member of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and a woman, identified as Morgan Chastity Craig, began exchanging text messages about possible prostitution. However, a deal was not agreed upon at that time.
On Feb. 22, text messages were exchanged again, between an undercover member of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Craig. That same day around 12:30 p.m. Craig arrived at the agreed upon location, accepted money from the undercover officers and began to undress.
Craig was arrested at the location and transported to the Johnson County jail.
Police also arrested Timothy Coffee. Police say he was driving the car that Craig was in to meet the undercover officer. He had a warrant for his arrest in Johnson, Morgan and Hendricks counties.
