INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — This story has been updated with additional information from IMPD.

A woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition after a Tuesday morning shooting on the city’s west side.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called just after 4:30 a.m. to a shooting at a home on Digby Court. That’s a residential area just north of Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

IMPD says the woman who was shot is being treated at Eskenazi Hospital.

Investigators said Tuesday afternoon that a suspect vehicle may have fled southbound on Fredonia Road and onto Corwyn Road/Shirley Drive or Red Bird Drive/Eagledale Drive.

“Anyone with possible information, having seen or heard something, as well as possible surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle entering or leaving the area, is encouraged to come forward,” IMPD Public Information Officer Tommy Thompson said Tuesday afternoon.
