Pet Pals TV: Paws and Think
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every week, “Pet Pals TV” shares a fun, interesting, and informative story about our four-legged and furry friend population.
On the latest “Pet Pals TV,” host Patty Spitler was joined by, Lisa Gupton and Vicki Strohm from Paws and Think.
Paws and Think is a volunteer based nonprofit that partners with local school, human societies and more to provide pet therapy for at risk youth and adults.
In addition, the organization trains stray, surrendered and family pets to become therapy dogs.
“Paws and Think again has been around 23 years and we love training dogs and letting them have a purpose, you know, let them have a job, So, we have over 50 venues that we serve in the Indianapolis area. I want to say it’s over 170 teams that go out everywhere.” Gupton said.
Paws and Think has teams at local hospitals such as Ascension St. Vincent and Riley Children’s Hospital. In June the organization volunteered at the Olympic Swim Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Pause and Think will participate in Run 317 in Carmel on Aug. 29th. and in October the nonprofit will host their annual fundraising gala Tails of Celebration.
