Colts making big changes among assistant coaches

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The Colts have hired longtime NFL assistant Jim Hostler as their new receivers coach.

He was the senior offensive assistant with Buffalo last season and previously worked with Indianapolis head coach Chuck Pagano in Baltimore.

Indy also announced Friday that Hal Hunter has been promoted to offensive line coach and Brad White to outside linebackers coach. Hunter was Indy’s assistant offensive line coach the last two seasons. White spent two seasons as Indy’s defensive quality control coach before moving up to assistant linebackers coach last season.

Charlie Williams, who has been coaching receivers, will now work with the running backs. And Tim Berbenich, who spent the past two seasons as Indy’s offensive assistant, will now switch to being the defensive assistant.
