Pacers, Brodgon agree to 2-year, $45M contact extension

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Pacers and Malcolm Brogdon have agreed on a multiyear contact extension, the team says.

ESPN reports the two-year, $45 million extension would keep the point guard with the Pacers for the next four seasons. The team did not confirm the length of the extension or its cost.

The 28-year-old would earn about $89 million over the four seasons.

Brogdon, who has a shoulder injury, will play in Wednesday night’s regular-season opener against the Hornets at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to Jeremiah Johnson of Bally Sports Indiana.

ESPN also reported Brogdon is not allowed to be traded this season because the contract is for a total of four seasons.
