Report: Pacers agree to deal with center James Wiseman

Pacers, James Wiseman agree to 2-year contact

(WISH) — The Pacers have reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the former number two overall pick in 2020 NBA Draft James Wiseman, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The amount of money for the contract has not been reported yet.

Wiseman was with the Warriors for the first two and a half seasons of his career before being traded to the Pistons, where he was for the last year and a half.

Wiseman played 63 games last season, the most in his career thus far. He averaged 7.1 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. He is only 23 years old.

Wiseman, a seven-foot center, joins the Pacers a day after forward-center Jalen Smith left the Pacers and signed with the Bulls.

This is the first free agent the Pacers have agreed to a deal with that was not previously with the team. So far, the Pacers have reportedly agreed to deals with Pascal Siakam and Obi Toppin.
