Tracking Wednesday’s storms

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’re tracking the threat for strong to severe storms for your Wednesday night.

Wednesday night:

Showers and storms are likely through the evening and nighttime hours with strong to severe storms possible. Storms will move out by the mid-overnight hours. It will be a damp, mild, and cloudy night.

A Slight Risk of severe weather is in place for all of central Indiana for the threat of damaging winds and large hail. Torrential downpours and frequent lightning will be threats with any thunderstorm.

Lows bottom out in the upper 60s.

Thursday:

A few spotty showers and storms are possible for your Thursday. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible south of the Bloomington-Columbus line with a Marginal Risk for severe weather in play. Primary threats are isolated damaging winds and hail.

Expect another very warm day with highs topping out in the mid 80s.

Friday:

We will warm up as the work week ends for your Friday. Scattered showers and storms will develop Friday afternoon.

Highs climb into the upper 80s to near the 90° mark.

8 Day Forecast:

A stray shower or storm is possible before sunrise Saturday. Clouds look to decrease throughout your Saturday with high temperatures reaching the 80s for the weekend. The 80° temperature trend will continue into next week with rain and storm chances returning by midweek.
