Pet Pals: Do bunnies make good pets?

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Patty Spitler welcomed bunnies into the studio Saturday in preparation for upcoming Easter celebrations.

The topic of conversation, with bunny expert Amy Deitchley of Indiana House Rabbit Society, was whether rabbits and bunnies can make a good Easter gift or house pet.

Deitchley stated that many bunnies, when they are very small, are very cute. But a couple months later, they start hitting puberty, and can become moody and hard-to-handle.

She recommends adopting a rabbit after they have been spayed or neutered, when their demeanors are more calm.
