Quarantined dogs test negative for flu
MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) – Dogs quarantined at the Muncie animal shelter out of concerns about canine influenza have all been released from quarantine, officials form the shelter said Tuesday morning.
All the dogs were tested for influenza and results indicated they didn’t have the virus, animal shelter officials said.
Multiple cases of the deadly influenza have been discovered in northwest Indiana and Tippecanoe County.
This dog flu is no threat to humans. But if pet owners come into contact with a sick dog, humans can spread it to other dogs.
