Man identified after deadly east side shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened outside of a hotel Friday morning.
Police said Joenathan Rice, 46, Indianapolis, was found shot in the head behind the Rodeway Inn on the city’s east side. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
IMPD dispatchers said an argument led up to the shooting. It’s unclear if the shooting happened inside or outside of the hotel.
Details about a suspect were not immediately released early Friday morning.
Officials stated that they do not believe this was a random act and are encouraging anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
