Officer dragged by vehicle while responding to domestic call

OWEN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – An officer from Spencer was responding to a domestic call last week and was drug by a vehicle as the male suspect attempted to flee.

The Spencer Police Officer was responding to the domestic call last Thursday between a male and a female inside a vehicle near Main and Morgan Streets in Spencer.

The officer approached the vehicle and asked the driver to exit. Instead the driver placed the vehicle in drive and attempted to flee.

The officer was attempting to shut the vehicle off by removing the keys but instead was drug approximately 100 feet.

The officer was not injured.

The Spencer Police Department is looking for information in locating the two people inside the vehicle in this case.
