Open for Service now offering customer coupons

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A company that was born out of the RFRA controversy is doing more than just selling stickers, it’s now also offering customer coupons.

The company, Open for Service, started in March by selling stickers to businesses who wanted to declare that they wouldn’t discriminate against anyone for any reason.

Open for Service now has about 5,000 registered businesses. More than half are outside Indiana.

On Monday, for the first time, the company offered rewards for customers who support Open for Service. businesses.

Anyone who registered their cell phone number got a $1 coupon to Sub Zero on Mass Ave.

Customers could register online or call to register.

This was a promotion the company founder, Josh Driver, called an ice cream social.

“Being able to celebrate inclusiveness while at the same time being able to help businesses with their bottom line has been a win-win for everybody,” said Driver.

The company has a website and an iPhone and Android app.
