Police make arrest in murder case of Will Allen Smith
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have made an arrest for the murder of Will Allen Smith that occurred on Tuesday.
Police arrested 55-year-old Kathy Lyles on preliminary charges of murder.
Police responded to the 3700 block of Luewan Drive at 4 p.m. on Sept. 29. Officials stated Smith was shot and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said Smith was shot in the head and was in the backseat of a car. According to IMPD, two other people were in the car but the went into the residence before the shooting.
Police also believe the shooting originally occurred in the 3900 block of Candle Berry Drive. It is unknown why the group moved to Luewan Drive.
