Abandoned factory damaged after south side fire
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis fire investigators are working to determine what caused a fire at an abandoned factory early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the building in the 900 block of South Kealing around 12:30 a.m. That’s near Southeastern Avenue and South Sherman Drive.
When crews arrived on scene they say flames were shooting from the building. The fire lasted about an hour and a half.
Damages are estimated at $50,000. No one was injured.
Officials say the Department of Code Enforcement was called because the building is unsafe.
